Khalid Latif Gauba, also known as K. L. Gauba, was a lawyer, writer, and politician born in British India. Originally from a Hindu family, he later converted to Islam and was elected to the Punjab Legislative Assembly from a Muslim constituency. He wrote extensively across genres, including The Prophet of the Desert (a biography of the Prophet Muhammad), Inside Pakistan, Uncle Sham, and the autobiography Friends and Foes, as well as several books recounting notable legal trials. After the partition of India, he emigrated to India, where he continued his legal and literary career until his death in 1981.
