Bano Qudsia

Bano Qudsia was a celebrated Pakistani novelist, playwright, and spiritual thinker, widely regarded as one of the finest Urdu writers of her generation. Born in Firozpur in 1928, she later studied at Kinnaird College and earned her master's in Urdu literature from Government College University, Lahore. She is best known for her novel Raja Gidh, along with acclaimed television plays such as Aadhi Baat, and wrote over two dozen novels and story collections across her career. Her contributions to literature earned her Pakistan's Sitara-i-Imtiaz and Hilal-i-Imtiaz honors. She passed away in Lahore in 2017, leaving behind a body of work known for its depth on spirituality and human nature.
