She is best known for novels and dramas including Peer-e-Kamil, Zindagi Gulzar Hai, Shehr-e-Zaat, and Meri Zaat Zarra-e-Benishan. Peer-e-Kamil in particular brought her international recognition and remains her most celebrated work. Holding a master's degree in English Literature, she began writing for Urdu digest magazines before rising to fame through novels and hit TV serials. Her direct, heartfelt style has made her one of the most influential voices in modern Urdu fiction.
