Asrar Ahmad Azad was a mid-20th-century Urdu historian and political scholar who published detailed books through Delhi's Maktaba Burhan on topics like the Indian National Army, global decolonization, and international politics. Because his personal biographical details are scarce, his name is frequently confused with Dr. Israr Ahmad (1932–2010), a highly prominent Pakistani medical doctor turned Islamic philosopher and theologian. Dr. Israr Ahmad founded the Islamic revivalist organization Tanzeem-e-Islami, authored over 60 books, and received the Sitara-e-Imtiaz for his widely broadcast Quranic television lectures.
